Take Kotaku for example. I admit to have dehumanised the staff of Gawker in my mind, and that makes it very easy for me to pass harsh judgements and make snide comments. I can say they’re all money-grabbing arseholes, only posting about tits and controversy, and most people in my bubble will agree. But that’s a lie. It’s not completely without base, but it’s also not a complete picture and pushing that kind of approach is unhelpful.

This quote references something I’ve slowly become more aware of after I realised how often I’ll dehumanise the police during protests. As somebody fighting to decrease dehumanisation, it made me feel a weird guilt to see myself doing what I condemn.
